I am a Research Fellow at the Centre for Applied Marine Sciences. I was awarded my Degree in Physical Oceanography and Mathematics at Bangor University in 2003 and my Ph.D in 2008, titled: Baroclinic Circulation in the Gareloch: A Scottish Fjord.
(Supervisor: Professor Alan J Elliott, pdf available here)

My research involves a variety of modelling studies, based around the European shelf seas, including:
- Marine renewable energy
- Biophysical larval transport modelling
- Coastal and estuarine processes
- Morphodynamics

Research Interests

Hydrodynamic modelling of the northwest European shelf seas
Baroclinic circulation and internal wave processes
Biophysical modelling
Sediment transport and morphodynamics
Catchment, river and estuarine interactions and coastal flooding
